Personal Development – Are You Feeling OK?

Discover that there is no great undiscovered secret about personal development and self awareness. The heart of personal focus – the key to real success – and personal growth is found in asking yourself one simple question. How do you feel right now? A simple question – the response to which will provide you with two key things – a major insight and a major opportunity. Personal development or self improvement is all down to awareness and, most importantly, self awareness. In short, how you are feeling right now! Realizing how you’re feeling is not the first step on the road to awareness, it’s the only step – assuming that you reflect on your findings in a focused and mindful way.

OK then, stop for a moment and ask yourself the question. Maybe you feel happy, at peace, relaxed, full of good health, full of the joys of Spring. On the other hand, chances are that you’re feeling one or more of the following: stressed, annoyed, tired, on edge, anxious, worried, hassled, confused, helpless, afraid… The fact – and it’s an actual psychological fact – is that, if you feel any of these things, you’re imprisoned in the land of make believe – your subconscious is making you believe that you’re feeling that way.

You’ve got to understand that it isn’t your life that stresses you out or worries you – it’s what you think about your life at this moment in time that is doing the damage. Pull yourself together and take control of your head – you’ll take control of what you’re feeling and, as a result, you’ll start influencing what’s going on in your life.

The funny thing is that if you actually open your eyes to what’s really going on where you are and what you’re doing right now and compare reality with what you think you’re feeling, it will dawn on you that the real world is very different from where you thought you were living. At this moment, as you breathe in and out, you don’t have any real or lasting worries. Problems, like everything in life, simply pass on. As a test of this, think about what you were annoyed or worried about this day last year – or even last month! In this moment of insight you might also understand that there are things happening before your very eyes that you’ve been unable to see because you were blinded by your own negative subconscious thoughts. We call these things opportunities – take off your blinkers and you’ll notice that they’re all around you.
