Your current situation in life at the present moment is the consequence of every minute choice that you have made, moment to moment, up to now.  Let me give you an example.  I write <a href='http:\/\/www.gurdy.net' target='_blank'>personal development articles<\/a> \u2013 loads of them.  Say I woke up earlier feeling depressed and did nothing about the way I felt, I might put off writing my next article until tomorrow.  That means that no one will see what I was going to write today \u2013 and one person who could otherwise read that article, could have changed the course of my life.  It might be someone famous, perhaps a leader of public opinion who could promote my article as a consequence of which it would go viral and explode the traffic to my website.  You see, the possibilities are infinite \u2013 and the possibilities and opportunities in all our lives are endless as well.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, we\u2019ve all got a enormous problem.   If you cast your eye over any of the research in the field of <a href='http:\/\/www.gurdy.net' target='_blank'>psychology<\/a>, you will discover what you probably are not even aware of \u2013 we make our choices automatically.  Or, more correctly, our subconscious makes all those moment to moment decisions on our behalf.   Sadly, the average subconscious mind makes those decisions based on what a psychologist might describe as our \u2018stored knowledge\u2019.   And that\u2019s a very big problem.   We each learned all of our crucial stored knowledge before the age of four!    In other words,  you make all of your decisions today based on so-called knowledge that is way past its sell-by date.  The way you behave, <a href='http:\/\/www.gurdy.net' target='_blank'>your bad habits<\/a>, the way you feel, the way you view yourself, what you think about your life and everyone else you know or meet is all automatically triggered by that out-of-date stored knowledge.   In effect, as a normal adult, you never take any real decisions at all.   What\u2019s the result?   Your life at present.<\/p>\n<p>If you consider that every decision we take, in each moment along the way, has brought us to where we are, we are the authors of our own reality.  The wonderful news is that, as our own authors, we can completely re-write the story by starting to make real choices and, as a result, take the real action that really will change your life \u2013 not \u2018can\u2019 \u2013 will.  So, the very next thing that you do, do it differently.   Believe it or not, something as simple as cleaning your teeth with the \u2018other\u2019 hand will wake you up from your automatic sleep and set the show on the road new direction.
