Having recently spent a day chatting with a number of long-standing <a href='http:\/\/www.gurdy.net' target='_blank'>personal development<\/a> clients with regard to how quantum physics elegantly describes how our universe, our world and our little bit of it \u2013 our daily life \u2013 really works.    What we put in \u2013 in energy \u2013 we get back out.   If, like normal people, you put almost nothing in (you should be aware that research suggests that the normal person only puts 1% of their mental energy into the here and now), don\u2019t be surprised if you, as a normal person, get next to nothing in return. <\/p>\n<p>Energy is only present \u2013 in effect, worrying about the future of dwelling on the past has no effect on energy.  The only time that the universe exists is now.  And you can only invest your mental energy in the here and now, if you <a href='http:\/\/www.gurdy.net' target='_blank'>focus your mind<\/a> or take control of your present state of mind.  And you can only control your present state of mind if you\u2019re up to taking responsibility for yourself.   And that\u2019s a big deal.   It is obvious to me that normal people are not big enough for that task.   <\/p>\n<p>Just listen to political \u201cleaders\u201d  hold forth on the ongoing need to \u201crescue\u201d the economy from the  disaster that has befallen it.   What they\u2019re saying is \u201cHey, it\u2019s not our fault, it\u2019s the fault of an unprecedented \u2018fracture in the international financial system\u2019\u201d \u2013 that\u2019s real quote, by the way \u2013 as if the financial system was something conscious that thinks for itself!    And, then, spare a thought for the poor bankers, who won\u2019t to take any responsibility on their shoulders either.   A few (only a few) bankers have actually apologised for the mess \u2013 though they\u2019re not sufficiently sorry to return their large salaries, bonuses, pension top-ups or golden handshakes.   Pretty much all the bankers that I\u2019ve listened to have blamed the catastrophe that has befallen their noble institutions&#8230;  on the credit crunch.<\/p>\n<p>Reality check:   Is the \u201cfracture in the financial system\u201d some self-created beast in which no one had a hand, act or part?    Is the \u201ccredit crunch\u201d some monster from the deep with a mind of its own that surfaced to consume all right-thinking bankers (and everyone else with them)?  Is no one to blame?   Will nobody take responsibility?   We expect our kids to own up to breaking a cup or having a few beers \u2013 but these so-called adults don\u2019t really lead by example, do they?<\/p>\n<p>And are you responsible?   Are your problems someone else\u2019s fault?   Sure, crap happens \u2013 often we can\u2019t control it \u2013 but we can control how we react or, more to the point, act when it comes to the crunch.  Time to grow up.   Time to be responsible for yourself \u2013 for your mind.   If you don\u2019t life will give you precious little in return (I\u2019ve had to edit what I was going to say in case no one would publish this post!) well, pretty much nothing, for your \u201cefforts\u201d \u2013 you\u2019ll have got what you deserved.
